Part-Time Professor, Industrial Electrician (309A) Post-Secondary Program

Cambrian College’s School of Engineering Technology requires part-time professors to teach within its Electrical Engineering Post-Secondary programs commencing in January 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities include teaching in one of the following courses:

• Prints & Electrical Code I
• Electrical Installation
• Electrical Installation II
• AC and DC Machines Lab
• Prints and Electrical Code II
• Prints & Electrical Code IV

Qualifications:

Required:

• Must have an Advanced Diploma within the field of Electrical Engineering, or a Journeyperson Certificate in a related field. A copy of educational documents and certificates must be submitted with the application. For education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application.
• Five years of relevant work experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to use creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.
• Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.
• Ability to function within a team environment.

Additional Assets/Preferred:

• Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
