SummaryAssist the Residential Manager (or Lead/Assistant Residential Manager) in the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for assigned individuals.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each resident, including completing laundry and cleaning assignments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
- Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences.
- Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for residents.
- Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
- Administer and record individuals’ medications in compliance with MAP.
- Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
- Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
- Engage in de‑escalation of individuals.
- Regular attendance at work, including during inclement weather.
- Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, desire to enrich individuals’ lives, and willingness to learn.
- Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de‑escalate individuals with limited cognition and complex needs.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportation of individuals.
- Ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including nonviolent crisis intervention (via CPI certification).
- Ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence.
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background requirements.
- MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification or ability to obtain MAP certification within the first 90 days of employment.
