We are looking for a Full-Time Meat Department Clerk for our Suffield Village Market location.

• Customer service:
  Interact with customers to take orders, provide product information, and offer assistance.
• Meat preparation:
  Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meat to customer specifications or to prepare it for display.
• Product handling:
  Wrap, weigh, and label meat products. Prepare special cuts as requested.
• Display and merchandising:
  Arrange and display meat in a fresh and appealing manner to attract customers.
• Sanitation and safety:
  Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment, display cases, and floors. Adhere to all food safety and health standards.
• Inventory management:
  Stock shelves, rotate products to ensure freshness, and remove outdated items. May also be responsible for receiving and storing new deliveries.

• Customer service skills
• Knowledge of meat products and cuts
• Ability to handle knives and other equipment safely
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Basic math skills for weighing and pricing
• Attention to detail and cleanliness

The Position is Mostly closing shifts [1030-7] , 4 days a week plus 1 weekend day.
