Crane Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Crane Supervisor to oversee and direct lifting operations on a busy construction project.

Key Responsibilities

* Briefing Teams:
Lead pre-lift briefings for crane operators, slingers, and signallers, ensuring everyone understands their specific duties and safety protocols.

* Executing Lifting Plans:
Ensure that all lifting operations are carried out exactly as set out in the appointed person's lifting plan

* Safety & Compliance:
Conduct thorough pre-use checks on all lifting equipment and accessories before work begins. Maintain the authority to stop lifting operations if unsafe conditions arise

* Team Coordination:
Direct the safe movement of equipment and loads using standard hand signals or radios.

* Documentation:
Ensure all operator and slinger credentials are valid before lifts commence and document any alterations to the lifting method statement.

Requirements

* Valid CPCS (A62) Crane/Lifting Supervisor or NPORS Lifting Supervisor card (with CSCS logo).

* Proven track record of supervising lifting operations on busy construction sites.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills with a firm commitment to health and safety
