Prometal Manufacturing Ltd, a progressive metal fabrication company, is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator / Setter to support workshop operations. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery to shape sheet metal components accurately, ensuring quality and precision for all production jobs.

Job Overview

* Set up and program folding details into CNC press brake machines according to job specifications

* Work out bend sequences using engineering drawings

* Interpret engineering drawings and production schedules accurately

* Operate machinery safely with accuracy and consistency

* Conduct quality checks and maintain production standards

* Perform routine maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting

* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient work area

* Work to tight deadlines

* Be adaptable and flexible to changing production needs

Requirements

* Prior experience as a press brake operator or in a similar role

* Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings

* Strong mechanical ability and hands-on approach

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in production

* Ability to work collaboratively and independently

* Commitment to health and safety best practices

Hours of Work

* Full-time, hands-on role in a busy workshop environment

* Flexible hours to meet production schedules (09:00-16:30 Monday-Thursday and 06:00-13:30 Fridays)
