Role Purpose

As Production Manager, you will take a proactive, floor-focused approach to leading daily operations. You'll foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement while mentoring staff and supporting hands-on production tasks. Your ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and lead by example will help shape the future of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Daily Operations:
Coordinate day-to-day production activities to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
Job Quotation:
Prepare accurate quotations for new work to support workflow planning.
Mentorship:
Coach and mentor production staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety procedures.
Hands-On Involvement:
Support and participate in production tasks, motivating the team through active leadership.
Problem Solving:
Quickly identify and address production challenges with effective solutions.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards of quality and oversee compliance with quality procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Work with management to drive operational efficiencies and improvements.
Compliance:
Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in production management within manufacturing or metal fabrication environments.
Strong practical skills with the ability to troubleshoot workshop machinery (e.g., CAD Punch, Press Brakes, Welding & Fabrication).
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
A proactive, hands-on leadership style and willingness to work on the production floor.
Effective communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage shifting priorities.
