The Role

Driver Hire Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Driver for a temp to perm position specialising in live bird transportation.

This role offers the opportunity to move into a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.

You’ll be responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of live birds while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and biosecurity.

Key Responsibilities

* Transport live birds safely and in line with animal welfare regulations

* Adhere to strict biosecurity procedures

* Complete all paperwork accurately and on time

* Follow health & safety guidelines at all times

* Maintain accurate driving hours and working time records

Requirements

* Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

* Live Bird Transportation Certificate – preferred but training would be considered

* Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card

* Minimum 12 months’ Class 1 experience preferred

* Maximum 6 points (no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsements)

* Strong knowledge of Driving Hours Regulations & WTR
