Cherry Trees @ Colourbox Montessori School in Risby is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Manager
to help lead our vibrant new nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career and play a key role in shaping the learning and development of children aged3 months to 5 years
.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the setting, supporting staff, children, and families every day. Alongside leadership responsibilities, you’ll still enjoy hands-on time with the children, helping to create a nurturing, inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
What you’ll be doing- Supporting the Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of practitioners.
- Ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education.
- Building strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
- Taking responsibility for planning, observations, and ensuring EYFS requirements are met.
- Contributing to staff training and professional development.
- Genuine opportunities for growth, training, and career progression.
- Uniform provided.
- Option to work a 4-day week with compressed hours.
- Specialist Montessori and CPD training in-house.

A Full and Relevant Level 3 (or higher) Childcare qualification.
Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements.
Leadership experience within an Early Years setting (Deputy or Room Leader level desirable).
Living and working in the UK with full right to work.
An Enhanced DBS check (we’ll apply for this).
First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene training desirable – training can be provided.
