Board Certified/Board Eligible Dermatologist
The NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine's Division of Dermatology seeks a full-time board certified/board eligible clinical dermatologist for our expanding Suffolk County practice. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a growing academic dermatology division providing comprehensive ambulatory care and inpatient consultation services across the NYU Langone Health system.
Practice SettingThe position will consist primarily of outpatient clinical dermatology with a focus on Suffolk County communities. The successful candidate will practice at:
- NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk, Patchogue: Primary practice location at our main Suffolk County campus (101 Hospital Road, Patchogue, NY 11772), providing comprehensive outpatient dermatology services and inpatient consultations
- Regional Satellite Clinics: Additional clinical sessions at NYU Langone facilities throughout Suffolk County including Commack, Riverhead, Middle Island, and other locations based on community need and candidate preferences
The final schedule will be tailored to meet the candidate's clinical interests and divisional needs, with opportunities to participate in subspecialty clinics and collaborate with our growing team of dermatology faculty.

ClinicalResponsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient dermatology services including medical dermatology, skin cancer screening, and procedural dermatology
- Perform inpatient dermatology consultations at NYU Langone Hospital‑Suffolk
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncology, primary care, and surgical specialties
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with divisional access and patient experience goals
- Engage in medical student and resident education
Our educational program provides dermatologic instruction for students of NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine and training for residents in primary care specialties. This position affords many opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care, addressing significant dermatologic problems affecting our community. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join a high‑quality, expanding program with a trajectory toward departmental status.
Qualifications- Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology (ABMS)
- Active or eligible for New York State medical license at time of employment
- Completion of ACGME‑accredited dermatology residency program
- Strong commitment to patient‑centered care and clinical excellence
- Interest in academic medicine and medical education
- Fellowship training in subspecialty areas (Mohs surgery, dermatopathology, pediatric dermatology) is valued but not required
Base Salary: $280,000 - $325,000
The salary range listed is for full‑time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
