Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (TPMG) is looking for Qualified Patient Service Representatives for our Suffolk locations!

TPMG is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support front desk operations, patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and general customer service in a multi-disciplinary medical practice.

• Schedule appointments on a multi-line telephone system.
• Check in patients for their appointments and check out patients at the end of visits.
• Greet and assist patients and other customers presenting to the practice.
• Ensure timely delivery of patient services.
• Operate in a multi-disciplinary environment with excellent customer service skills.
• Verify insurance and possess general knowledge of billing.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Office Manager.

• Knowledge of computer systems and applications;
  Next Gen experience is a plus.
• Insurance verification.
• Procedure preauthorization preferred.
• Knowledge of office equipment and medical terminology.
• Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation; ability to type from draft copy, review, and edit reports and correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic skills to balance and reconcile figures and make changes accurately.
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work scheduled hours as defined in the job offer and to communicate effectively and professionally.

• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a medical environment is preferred but not required.
