Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This 18‑bed, high‑acuity unit provides advanced, compassionate care in a collaborative environment. Location: Suffolk, VA
Work Shift: First (Days)
Sign‑on Bonus: Up to $15,000 for qualified applicants. No commitment required.
Responsibilities- Perform competent level nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation).
- Apply clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards for critical and acute care nursing.
- Engage in evidence‑based practice, collaborative teamwork, and leadership as part of the ICU team.
- Registered Nursing License (required).
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire.
- 2 years of acute care experience preferred (open to new graduates).
- Critical care, medical‑surgical, and acute care experience preferred.
- Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Students completing a registered nursing program with prior acute care experience may be considered.
