As a Security Professional – Telecom Patrols in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for employees and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills allow you to respond to needs promptly and professionally.

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues.
• Collaborate with site staff and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately and promptly following all site-specific protocols.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
