Position Summary
Sentry Force Security is seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. The Security Officer will monitor the facility, assist with maintaining order, and respond appropriately to safety concerns while interacting respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Monitor the facility, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property.
- Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or disruptive activity.
- Assist staff with maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
- Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, and safety concerns.
- Monitor patient and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures.
- Verify authorized individuals entering restricted areas.
- Conduct routine patrols of designated areas.
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established emergency procedures. - De-escalate tense situations using professional communication and sound judgment.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with patients and sensitive situations.
- Work closely with facility staff and management to address security concerns.
- Follow all company and facility policies, procedures, and post orders.
- Previous security, healthcare, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate professionally with a diverse population.
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must meet all applicable Virginia security licensing requirements.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain attentive for extended periods.
