Required Skills & Experience

• Must have active security clearance
• Must have programming experience in:
Java, JavaScript, and React Framework

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Working knowledge of C++/C# in a Visual Studio environment.

Job Description
We are currently hiring a Secret Software Engineer to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA. The position is hybrid.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Develop well-written code using provided coding standards
• Testing software using a Test Procedure or Requirements document and documenting/correcting any errors found.
• Documents cold starts and develops software for new and revised virtual environment courses. Compensation: $35/hr. to $40hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
