Job Description

Performance Food service seeks a Warehouse Lead to oversee and provide guidance to the warehouse crew, maintain safe and efficient work areas, and support shipping and receiving functions while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Follow safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work area and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Prepare work schedule and daily production paperwork.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Perform daily forklift/pallet jack safety check.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Assist warehouse crew in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Conduct damage control checks on received items and coordinate with supervisor.
• Perform selection, shipping, receiving, forklift put‑away/replenishment, returns, auditing and other duties as needed.
• Provide oversight, direction, and input to associates in the assigned area.
• Maintain housekeeping, clear loading docks and trailers, replace batteries, complete inspection checklists and paperwork.
• Provide backup support to warehouse management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of warehouse and/or distribution experience.
• Ability to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime.
• Capability to work in multi‑temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, lift repeatedly, lift 10–35 pounds routinely and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

$23–$25 per hour, based on experience.
