Resident Engineer

Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated, team-focused individual to work on its public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing construction oversight and management on infrastructure projects including transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater.
• Overseeing field staff and contractors on-site, ensuring quality construction in accordance with plans and specifications.
• Managing activities such as layout, inspection, documentation, pay estimates, and project closeout/deficiency resolution.
• Providing technical advice on design and construction aspects of projects.
• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required.
• PE license or EIT preferred, but not required.
• Experience and certifications may substitute for licensure.
• Job-related certifications (e.g., IDOT, CMMS) are preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
