The FBO Service Technician provides expert care and support to all customers, including marshaling and parking incoming aircraft, fueling, invoicing, fuel delivery, and towing aircraft for storage. You will create a welcoming environment by greeting guests, answering questions, assisting with check-in, reserving rental cars or hotels, and maintaining a clean lobby. Additionally, you may support internal pilots and instructors by communicating maintenance needs and coordinating scheduling and logistics.
- Track and monitor arriving and departing aircraft, including charter, training, and transit flights.
- Marshal, park, and move aircraft safely.
- Assist with baggage handling for crew and passengers.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming FBO environment, including ground maintenance and snow removal.
- Operate company vehicles safely according to policies.
- Process invoices for fuel, rentals, lessons, and handling fees.
- Monitor flight schedules and communicate changes.
- Maintain records and documentation for pilots, students, and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Line Service Technician or in FBO Customer Service preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- This role is physically demanding, involving outdoor work on airport ramps, inside hangars, and at the customer service desk.
- Ability to pump jet fuel, which may require climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Work on your feet for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to environmental conditions like cold, heat, noise, vibration, and hazards.
- Use hands frequently for typing and communication.
- Climb a six-foot ladder as needed.
