Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that requires an experienced, detail-oriented individual capable of handling a high volume of invoices efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Quick Books and demonstrate expertise in managing accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process approximately 100 invoices weekly with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Utilize advanced Quick Books skills to manage and record financial transactions effectively.

- Ensure proper coding and classification of invoices to maintain organized financial records.

- Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and answer vendor inquiries.

- Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all accounts payable activities.

- Assist with system transitions, including adapting to new invoice management platforms.

- Prepare and review reports related to accounts payable for management review.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements - A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books at an advanced level is mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of invoice processing, coding, and check runs.

- Ability to manage a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and team members.
