Role Description

The Legal Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Sugar Land, TX. This position manages the front desk by greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, and serving as the first point of contact for clients and prospective clients. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, maintaining calendars for attorneys, and ensuring that client information is accurately recorded in firm systems.

The Legal Receptionist supports the legal team by handling basic legal document preparation, organizing client files, and assisting with incoming and outgoing mail. The role also involves maintaining a professional office environment, upholding confidentiality standards, and delivering courteous, timely communication to clients and colleagues.

Qualifications
  • Strong receptionist skills, including managing front desk operations, greeting visitors, and handling appointment scheduling.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with excellent phone etiquette and client service abilities.
  • Basic understanding of law and legal processes, with the ability to support attorneys in routine tasks.
  • Experience with legal document preparation, file organization, and accurate data entry.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for client confidentiality.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional office setting preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, additional education in legal studies or administration is a plus.

While prior experience in a legal office or customer service setting is preferred, it is not required. Strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.

This role is perfect for someone seeking hands-on experience with the opportunity for growth and advancement within the firm. A candidate with no prior legal experience who is interested in becoming a paralegal will have the chance to learn directly from senior-level paralegals, multiple attorneys, and former judges in our office.
