Summary
We are seeking a Production Automation Engineer – Electrical. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes in order to complete exact tasks.

Job Duties

• Work with ME teams to improve production process by identifying automation based solutions to help improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve safety
• Monitoring and analyzing data from automation systems to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
• Development of all the required software and hardware to validate the requirements of the unit under test and to improve throughput and yield. The software includes LabVIEW, SQL, python , other programming language, deep learning based software and PLC development
• Interface with production line to understand the major failure modes of products.
• Design experiments/test to isolate failures and to determine root causes on products
• Work with management and product design teams to formulate manufacturing processes for products
• 5 ~ 10% international travel is expected for this position.
• Other duties as needed or required.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
• Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 2 years plus in programming and engineering work
• Working experience with Labview, preferred to also have common programming language knowledge such as python,Java , C++, or VBA
• Experience with deep learning technology.
• Experience with programmable logic controls, mechanical design, or circuit design is beneficial
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to manage multiple/concurrent projects

Location

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
