About the RoleWe are searching for an experienced and visionary Senior Process Engineer to lead the design and development of next‑generation sustainable energy technologies. In this role, you will take ideas from the laboratory and turn them into real‑world, scalable systems that power the global transition toward clean and affordable energy. You’ll work on breakthrough projects in areas such as lithium extraction, carbon capture and storage, geothermal energy, and critical mineral refining – all aimed at solving some of the world’s most complex environmental and engineering challenges.

WhatYou’ll DoLead Process Development
- Design, develop, and implement sustainable energy processes from early‑stage concept through commercial deployment.
- Evaluate process technologies based on performance, scalability, and alignment with environmental and client objectives.
- Create process flow designs that balance innovation, cost‑effectiveness, and reliability.
- Design custom equipment and systems tailored to project specifications, maximizing performance and sustainability outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including block flow diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs, and material and energy balances.
- Oversee and review detailed process deliverables across FEL stages 1–3, ensuring quality and technical precision.
- Partner with internal teams, research groups, and external collaborators to assess risk, economics, and technology readiness.
- Perform advanced process modeling and simulations using industry‑standard tools to optimize system design and performance.
- Contribute to the development of new software, digital workflows, and research initiatives supporting process innovation.
- Provide technical guidance during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Support troubleshooting efforts in both pilot and operational facilities to resolve complex process challenges.
- Conduct peer reviews, evaluate design proposals, and validate cost estimates and equipment specifications.
- Stay current on emerging technologies in sustainable energy production and process optimization.
- Uphold compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards, including relevant risk control frameworks.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in process engineering within one or more of the following areas:
- Lithium extraction and refining
- Carbon capture and storage
- Geothermal energy systems
- Chemical or petrochemical synthesis
- Critical mineral processing
- Proven ability to take laboratory‑scale processes through scale‑up, validation, and commercial implementation.
- Strong command of process simulation tools, thermodynamics, and heat and mass transfer principles.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a focus on delivering results.
- Experience leading projects related to lithium extraction or other critical minerals programs.
- Background working within multidisciplinary teams focused on energy transition technologies.
- Ability to bridge the gap between R&D innovation and real‑world deployment.

Program Manager, Sustainable Energy Systems. - Location:
Sugar Land, TX (with flexibility for occasional travel). - Some travel required to field sites, partner locations, and operational facilities.
