Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Health Information Management (“HIM”) Technician include, but are not limited to: inpatient assembly, analysis and admissions processing (including sorting, proofing and error identification of all reports) in support of the Health Information Management function. The HIM Technician also provides telephone back‑up as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Training: High School diploma or its equivalent with specialized training in an approved business, secretarial school or college. Prefer specialized training in an approved Health Information Management Program.

Experience: Previous medical record experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
