Live-in Home Caregiver - Weekend Only (Friday‑Sunday, 7 am‑7 pm)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated weekend caregiver to join our family in providing comprehensive care and companionship for an elderly couple. This is a weekend‑only position with shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (two 12‑hour shifts, 24 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and capable of fostering a warm and supportive environment. You will play a crucial role in meeting their physical needs while enhancing their emotional well‑being through companionship and engaging activities.

- Personal Care:
Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. - Mobility Assistance:
Provide support with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or vice versa, walking, and exercising. - Medication Management:
Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions. - Meal Preparation:
Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. - Housekeeping:
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up living spaces. - Companionship:
Engage in meaningful conversations, accompany on outings, and participate in recreational activities. - Transportation:
Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed. - Monitoring Health:
Keep track of any changes in health conditions and report concerns to appropriate medical professionals or family members. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration, vital signs, and daily activities. - Emergency Response:
Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including administering first aid and contacting emergency services if necessary.
- Experience:
Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in a similar live‑in or in‑home role. - Certification: CPR and first aid certification preferred.
- Physical Stamina:
Ability to assist with lifting, bending, and other physical tasks associated with caregiving, including helping a client in and out of a vehicle. - Computer Savvy:
Comfortable with typing, navigating websites, and following simple AI or online prompts for communication, scheduling, or documentation. - Compassion:
Empathy and patience in providing care and support to individuals with varying needs. - Communication
Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals. - Reliability:
Dependability and trustworthiness to fulfill responsibilities consistently. - Flexibility:
Willingness to adapt to changing needs within the weekend schedule. - Driver's License:
Valid driver's license and comfort with driving clients to appointments and outings. - Cultural Sensitivity:
Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and cultures, especially when working with clients from different ethnic or religious backgrounds.
