** We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.## The Pre-Press Technician – Level I is responsible for safe, quality and efficient mounting operation at Accredo Packaging.

This role will be a night shift and will based from our plant located in Sugar Land, TX.## Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:* ## Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.* ## Reads and updates production schedule to confirm plate availability and status.* ## Interprets job information (i.e. spec sheet, graphic approval sheet, layout, color target).
* ## Locates and retrieves sleeves operating sleeve storage robot. Cleans sleeves. Visually inspects and measures the TIR of each sleeve. Quarantines out-of-spec sleeves.* ## Measures sticky back thickness. Quarantines out-of-spec sticky back.* ## Locates and retrieves plates from plate storage.* ## Mounts plate on sleeves by operating plate mounter. Maintains quality check sheet and mounting log and records downtime when remounting.

Stages mounted sleeves.* ## Strips plates from sleeve by operating plate demounter and cleans plates manually or by operating the plate cleaner.* ## Inspects plate and identifies plate mileage. Destroys plates in poor condition or with excessive mileage.* ## Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.* ## Performs other related duties as assigned.## The ideal candidate shall possess the following:* ## High School Diploma or GED required.
* ## Basic computer skills required.

Experience with Microsoft suite products (i.e. Word, Excel) required.* ## Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.* ## Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (i.e. tape measure).* ## Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
* ## Operating experience in a manufacturing environment required. Mounting experience preferred.* ## 12-hour shift work experience required.* ## Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
