The Maintenance Mechanic (Production Tech) will manage, maintain, and repair automated production machines or equipment involved in the manufacturing of aluminum cans. The selected candidate will work closely with a team, including a Team Coordinator and Team Leader, to ensure continuous production quality and operational reliability.

• Maintain and oversee the operation of machinery and equipment to produce high‑quality cans.
• Inspect cans against customer specifications, adjusting processes as needed to meet standards.
• Replenish inks, oils, chemicals, fluids, and other supplies and clear jammed or damaged cans.
• Operate forklifts for material handling and may handle loading/unloading of trucks or rail cars.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine malfunctions, performing mechanical repairs such as part replacements and installations.
• Lubricate, clean, and set up machinery, including dismantling, fitting, and assembling tools as required.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine required stock and perform maintenance tasks.
• Repair electronic or electrical equipment, performing maintenance, repair, and installation on a variety of devices.
• Maintain paperwork including SPC charts, logbook entries, maintenance checklists, and initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Complete additional duties assigned by the team or management.

Minimum Requirements

• Availability for various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of production machines and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for machine malfunctions.
• Significant experience operating production machines.
• Technical training, education, or equivalent experience may substitute for required work experience.

Preferred Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

• Constant pressure to maintain high‑quality production and continuous line operation.
• Rotating shifts: 12‑hour shifts with 4 days on/4 days off, rotating days to nights every two cycles.
• Exposure to hot or cold temperatures, moving mechanical parts, chemical fumes, vibration, and noise.
• Potential electrical shock, exposure to highly exposed work areas, and elevated wet and humid conditions.
