** Extrusion Operator Trainee
** to join our team. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of extrusion equipment at our Sugar Land facility. You will learn and perform all aspects of extrusion operations, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.# # #
** Key Responsibilities*** # Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.* # Order resin and packaging materials; understand various resin types.* # Perform job setup and changeovers for extrusion equipment.* # Operate and troubleshoot extrusion machines to ensure optimal performance.* # Conduct quality checks and address nonconforming issues promptly.* # Record and track production output and scrap; label and package rolls.
* # Palletize and transport materials using a walkie.* # Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as needed.* # Maintain and clean extrusion equipment (e.g., screen changes, blade replacements).* # Keep the department organized and clean.* # Perform other related duties as assigned.#
** Qualifications*** # High School Diploma or GED required.* # Basic computer skills; experience with web-based software and ERP systems preferred.* # Basic math skills; must pass a New Hire Base Assessment Test (arithmetic and mechanical aptitude).* # Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).* # Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.* # Prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
* # Experience working 12-hour shifts is required.
