The Perioperative RN is responsible for managing the care of pediatric and adult patients requiring a surgical procedure. The RN delivers total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative stay, including clinical assessment, care planning, implementation of nursing techniques, and evaluation of interventions.
Minimum EducationGraduate of an accredited Nursing program.
Minimum Work ExperienceMinimum of 1 year previous Perioperative RN experience preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
- PALS/ENPC certification preferred.
