Join a team that cares. We’re hiring dependable, compassionate PRN LVNs to support resident-centered care across multiple shifts. Pick up when it works for you, while partnering with a supportive nursing team.
What You’ll DoShift Coverage & Handoffs
Accept assignments on short notice; review care plans, isolation lists, and new orders quickly.
Give/receive concise reports; prioritize your hallway; support CNAs and collaborate with RNs.
Perform scheduled/PRN safety rounds; keep rooms admission-ready.
Medication & Treatment Administration
Complete med pass accurately and on time; document in PCC.
Perform treatments per orders (wound care/dressings, trach/ostomy care, G/PEG tube care/flushes/meds, catheter care/irrigation).
Manage PRN meds with timely reassessment; handle controlled-substance counts/wastes and discrepancy reporting; reorder/dispose per policy.
>Urinary: insert/remove/irrigate catheters; obtain sterile specimens.
Respiratory: trach care/suctioning, oxygen therapy, nebulizers, pulse-ox monitoring.
Enteral: G/J/PEG maintenance, feeding setup, flushes, medication administration.
Wound/Skin: advanced dressings, packing, NPWT (wound vac) as trained.
IV therapy if certified and per facility policy (peripheral start/site care; fluids/meds).
Trend vitals, pain, behavior, I/O, weights; identify changes in condition early.
Notify providers and families per policy; carry out new orders; complete incident reports (falls, injuries, med variances).
Respond to emergencies (RRT/code); maintain code cart/oxygen checks as assigned.
Support evening/night/weekend admits/returns: initial assessment, med reconciliation, orders entry, orientation, belongings inventory, and documentation.
Coordinate labs/imaging/transport and with pharmacy/on-call as needed.
Chart timely/accurately in the EMR; ensure accuracy and treatment records.
Follow policies, standards of practice, and survey readiness expectations; assist with required logs when assigned (falls, infection control, wounds, restraints/psychotropics).
Follow standard/contact/droplet precautions; hand hygiene/PPE every time.
Disinfect equipment after use; implement fall-prevention and elopement protocols; verify alarms and safety devices are in place.
Communicate clearly with the DON/RN supervisor, therapy, social services, and dietary to meet goals.
Provide compassionate updates to residents/families; assist with ADLs as needed to maintain dignity and timeliness of care.
Active Texas LVN license (unencumbered) &
current CPR/BLSRecent SNF/LTC experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and follow-through
EMR proficiency (training provided); professional, tactful communication
Reliability to cover PRN shifts (days/evenings/nights, weekends/holidays as needed)
