Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision and mission.

The CNC ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit during the designated shift. The role involves collaborating with management to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serving as a resource for staff, and supporting departmental performance.
What you will do in this role:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support operational initiatives such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement courses of action for training, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- (RN) Registered Nurse – operating room experience highly preferred.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
