EssentialKey Job Responsibilities
- Assessment:
Admission and ongoing assessment of patient condition; provides nursing care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs; notifies doctor of changes. - Planning:
Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care; collaborates with clinical disciplines; formulates daily goals that meet individualized needs. - Implementation:
Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies; reports significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader or physician; implements patient safety initiatives and medication safety practices. - Evaluation:
Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals; notifies physician as needed to modify interventions; adjusts nursing care to meet evolving needs. - Report
Skills:
Gives and receives report using Bedside Shift Report with family participation; provides accurate and comprehensive report to oncoming shift.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Registered Nurse license: TX (RN:
TX). - Basic Life Support – AHA BLS certification.
