Shimmick Corporation is seeking a highly talented Project Sponsor to be based in Northern California. This challenging position focuses on all aspects of the project lifecycle while maintaining positive client relationships and building impactful teams.

• Direct and manage junior project managers across large capital projects or multiple smaller projects.
• Foster client relationships and resolve issues escalated by junior project managers.
• Guide project teams through the collaborative delivery process.
• Manage project lifecycle from procurement through preconstruction, construction, and close‑out.
• Coordinate corporate resources to the benefit of project success.
• Recruit, train, and develop junior staff.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field plus 10 years of relevant project delivery experience or equivalent.
• Experience with GC/CM or similar collaborative project delivery model.
• Extensive experience executing complex water/wastewater heavy civil construction projects.

• Concrete structures, MSE walls, rail, transit, or wastewater project experience.
• Experience working with clients in the greater Northern California region.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage changing deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance abuse test.
• Position does not include sponsorship for U.S. work authorization.

Salary range: $220,000 - $270,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
