Our client seeks innovative team members to support the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service’s (NESDIS) cloud initiative that seeks to explore the potential of the cloud to support its mission. We are seeking individuals to:

• provide cloud programming and software engineering support using industry standard software engineering techniques (K8, Docker)
• design, code, test, and document interfaces of moderate to high complexity
• work with Government staff to coordinate science products, algorithm development and science processing
• support scientific processing, the creation of Delivered Algorithm Packages, and other research-to-operations efforts

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or comparable degree
• 5 years of relevant hands‑on work experience
• Experience with:
  • AWS
  • Docker and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes)
  • RDS Postgre
    
    SQL, Dynamo
    
    DB, and data modeling
• This position requires U.S. citizen, a U.S. lawful permanent resident (i.e. green card holder)
