We are actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Network and Computer Systems Administrator for a DoD Intelligence program in the National Capital Region.

The Network and Computer Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintenance, installation, configuration and mission systems support within the network including cloud and hybrid enterprise systems. The administrator will monitor and test system applications to ensure optimal performance of the site and assist in overall systems modeling, analysis, planning and coordination between network and data communications.

• Maintain Network operations, install, configure, update applications, email systems, hardware and software.
• Optimizing and maintaining network security protocols, secure file transfer protocols and virtual private networks (VPN’s).
• Performing routine network audits.
• Troubleshooting issues with an organization’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and other network segments.
• Direct or support the installation, configuration, and integration of operating systems, network, and application software.
• Oversee ongoing maintenance operations, monitor network performance, and implement necessary upgrades or fixes.
• Monitor and test network to ensure system availability to all the users and perform necessary maintenance to support operational availability.
• Provide Tier1
  - Tier 3 level support to all the network users.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and evaluate system performance.
• Effective communication to understand requirements and collaborate with diverse teams.

• Minimum of three years of experience managing and maintaining an operational network.

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, information technology/systems or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience with Network/Systems Administration.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or other network certification.
• 3+ years of experience with network testing and troubleshooting.
