Job Description:

Provide general system administration support, to include system maintenance/upgrades, OS/software security patching, AV compliance patching, software and hardware transitions, firmware updates, system and network troubleshooting, and system integration of Unix and Linux operating systems running on SPARC/x86 hardware supporting the ONI CDS enterprise. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, developing SOPs, Unix shell scripting, server rack work, user account management and regular verbal/written communication with customers, vendors and technical personnel.

• Operation and maintenance (O&M) support of all CDS systems
• Installation, configuration and system hardening of Unix/Linux operating systems
• Installation and configuration of GOTS and COTS software components
• Integration support with other systems, enterprise services and components
• Functional software configuration development to support customer and/or security requirements
• Coordinate with ISSM/ISSO in support of IATT and ATO requirements
• Adhere to Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices for system management
• Develop and maintain system design documentation and technical SOPs
• Engage with mission business owners and stakeholders to determine project design requirements
• Assist team with IT solutions design and development for complex project initiatives

• Significant experience with Cross Domain systems
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification
• Building and maintaining Unix/Linux operating systems
