Information Technology Specialist; DATA Management Security Clearance

Position: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (DATA MANAGEMENT) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will create and maintain MS-SOL geodatabases supporting GIS mapping and image service applications, with a focus on managing the interaction between Sea Ice Processing and Analysis System (SIPAS) and the Enterprise Geodatabase.
* You will develop software to automate tasks and integrate with SIPAS, focusing on satellite image data transfer, analysis, and product generation.
* You will interact with analysts, system users, computer scientists, and government contractors to improve system stability.
* You will use expertise in database practice and theory.
* You will provide recommendations to the Information Technology Department Head (ITDH) concerning GIS system integration, potential system conflicts avoidance, and information security hazards mitigation.
* You will prepare reports, recommendations, and technical summaries on database design/performance and operating procedures for review by the ITDH.

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and knowledge of database management principles and practices, with specific focus in MS-SQL geodatabases, including an understanding of SQL, stored procedures, views, query optimization techniques, and database design for GIS and web applications. Experience and knowledge of GIS technologies, particularly ArcGIS, and their application in image processing and analysis systems, including expertise in database design and schema development for enterprise-level geodatabases.

Experience in software development practices for GIS applications and understanding GIS Tools, with familiarity in Arc Py or similar GIS scripting libraries for data processing.
