FGS, LLC is seeking an Azure Cloud Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft Azure architecture for the Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Maryland. The selected candidate will engineer secure Azure and hybrid-cloud capabilities supporting Zero Trust tools, identity services, security monitoring platforms, and mission-critical Government information systems.
The Azure Cloud Systems Engineer will work with cloud architects, cybersecurity personnel, systems and network engineers, developers, and Government stakeholders to deploy and operate scalable cloud services, automate infrastructure and configuration, maintain cloud security and compliance baselines, and provide technical documentation and operational support. This position requires substantial hands-on Azure engineering experience in classified DoD environments.
- Engineer, configure, and maintain Azure subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, routing, virtual machines, storage, identity integrations, and cloud service baselines.
- Design and support hybrid-cloud integrations connecting on-premises infrastructure with Azure-based Zero Trust, identity, security, and mission platforms.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational tasks using Power Shell, Python, Bash, ARM/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions, and related automation technologies.
- Implement and maintain cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, performance management, and operational-health capabilities.
- Apply secure cloud configuration baselines and support RMF, DoD cloud-security, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements.
- Design, deploy, troubleshoot, and sustain cloud-based Windows and Linux systems and associated network services.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, diagrams, integration schemas, configuration standards, operating procedures, and technical implementation guidance.
- Troubleshoot complex Azure, hybrid-cloud, identity, networking, automation, deployment, and performance issues and coordinate resolution across technical teams.
- Collaborate with Government and contractor stakeholders to evaluate cloud requirements, recommend technical solutions, and support integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance at the time of hire.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM.
- Five (5)+ years of cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring experience with AWS and/or Azure, including substantial hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, deploying, debugging, and maintaining cloud-based systems and services.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and cloud service models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid-cloud integration, and cloud-native services.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python, Power Shell, Bash, ARM/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, and comparable scripting and infrastructure-automation technologies, including serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
