Safety and Security Officer

Life Safety and Security Officer is responsible for protecting employees, visitors, contractors, patients, and all properties of PPMW while providing high-level customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Patrolling the Health Center and grounds to detect threats, unauthorized persons/vehicles, suspicious packages, or property damage.
• Greeting visitors warmly, informing relevant employees of their arrival, assisting with sign-in on the Visitor Management System, issuing Visitor Badges, and escorting visitors as needed.
• Enforcing security access control procedures, including issuing facility access badges and verifying identity and employment status.
• Responding to incidents, completing reports, and notifying appropriate parties promptly.
• Monitoring building security cameras and surveillance systems.
• Assisting in building emergencies such as evacuations and fire alarms.
• Maintaining the orderliness of the reception area.
• Writing detailed incident reports and contacting relevant personnel.
• Monitoring visitor movement and ensuring authorized access.
• Promoting good public relations through courteous and professional interactions.
• Enforcing building rules and policies.
• Participating in required training and orientation programs.
• Performing additional security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform extensive walking, pushing, and bending.

Compensation: $21-$26 per hour
