We are actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Software Developer for a DoD Intelligence program in the National Capital Region.

Job Summary:

The Software Developer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers and network distribution software within a DoD environment. Software applications will be developed in accordance with established functional, operational and specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new software programs
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
• Establish software development lifecycle, engineering processes and organize for development and operations based on the Agile methodology
• Establish a Dev Sec Ops  pipeline that builds in security in accordance with risk management framework standards
• Automate CI/CD pipelines to build, integrate and test processes
• leverage automated code inspection and automated software testing capabilities such as DAST/SAST to minimize software defects
• Optimizes system efficiency by analyzing performance indicators, changing software
• Direct system testing and validation procedures
• Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models
• Effective communication to understand requirements and collaborate with diverse teams

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology/systems or equivalent
• Experience in implementing and maintaining Dev Sec Ops  and CI/CD pipelines
