We are actively seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Software Developer (Applications) for a DoD Intelligence program in the National Capital Region.

The Software Developer will be responsible for design, development and testing of software applications or specialized software utility programs. The Software Developer will design software or enhance/customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency in accordance with established functional, operational and specification requirements.

• Design, develop and implement new software applications based on business needs
• Evaluate, maintain, update, modify and improve the performance of existing applications
• Collaborate with rest of the team to ensure applications align with organizational goals
• Find solutions to security threats, viruses or errors that might hinder the performance of applications
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to enhance user experience
• Integrate applications with APIs and databases
• Perform code reviews and optimize application performance
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues and performance bottlenecks
• Work closely with QA to ensure software quality
• Develop technical handbooks to represent the design and code of new applications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology/systems or equivalent.
• Experience working Dev Sec Ops  environment.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining Dev Sec Ops  and CI/CD pipelines
