Summary

Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Front-End Web Developer in Suitland, MD. This front-end developer position involves developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular.

• Developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI).

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required
• 3-5 years of experience in Front-End Web Development
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

Strong experience developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI). Familiarity with other frameworks, such as React and Vue, is a plus.

Experience with Docker (or similar) for local development, testing, and deployment to various application environments.

Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud environments, whether on Virtual Machines (VMs) or in containerized clusters.

Experience with Dev Ops best practices, including:

• Writing and maintaining code using Git Hub, including familiarity with branching strategies (e.g., Git Flow), release management, rebasing, and maintaining clean commit history.
• Working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Git Hub Actions) to create and maintain automated build and deployment processes
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and microservices, especially working with RESTful API services. You'll architect applications and refactor code for optimal design, performance, modularization, and to eliminate redundancies.
• Familiarity with Node.js applications and managing packages using npm.
