OverviewMissouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical‑access hospital committed to providing quality health care services to residents in Crawford, Franklin, and Washington counties. The hospital offers a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multi‑room surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. It also operates four rural health clinics, a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and an award‑winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.
RolePurpose
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing standards.
Responsibilities- Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment; educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post-treament home care needs and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and patient/family or caregiver, following nursing standards.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to care standards; assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotions, spirituality, culture, and population‑specific needs.
- Maintains constant state of alertness and safety; this is a safety-sensitive position.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. - Experience:

Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Supervisor

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field. - Experience:
Previous ED experience.
