Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. The hospital offers a state‑of‑the‑art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. It also operates four rural health clinics, a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and an award‑winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.
The six‑bed Critical Care Unit, equipped with state‑of‑the‑art cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, cares for patients requiring critical care intervention for acute or potentially life‑threatening ailments and surgical recoveries in private rooms.
Role PurposeProvides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities- Promotes patient and family‑centered care and educates patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver.
- Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, addressing patient preferences, barriers, values, spirituality, culture, and population‑specific needs.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness for a safety‑sensitive position.
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Experience: None required.
- Licensing: Registered Nurse (RN) in Missouri.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
