We’re seeking a dynamic HVAC Product Line Manager (PLM) to take ownership of our entire HVAC product portfolio—including DC and AC chillers, heat pumps, mini-splits, and heat pump water heaters. In this critical leadership role, you’ll set the product vision, develop and execute the roadmap, partner with vendors, and ensure our products embody the EG4 brand values: reliability, durability, and easy installation.
From initial concept to end-of-life, you’ll drive the evolution and success of our HVAC solutions.
- Product Line Ownership:
Manage the full portfolio of chillers, heat pumps, mini-splits, and heat pump water heaters; decide which products to retain, upgrade, or retire based on performance and market needs; maintain product tiers and lifecycle strategies aligned with brand values. - Product Strategy &
Roadmap:
Develop a comprehensive multi-year roadmap; plan SKUs, features, pricing, and release schedules; collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Compliance, and Installer teams. - Requirements Definition:
Write clear Product Requirements Documents covering capacity, efficiency, operating conditions, refrigerant types, noise levels, mounting options, and accessories; ensure requirements meet cost targets and manufacturability. - Cross-Functional Leadership:
Work closely with Engineering, Compliance, R&D, Testing, Repair, Marketing, and Sales teams; deliver product specifications, training, and launch alignment. - Vendor Management & Manufacturing:
Evaluate, select, and nurture HVAC vendor relationships; review bills of materials and cost structures; oversee prototype approvals and maintain quality control standards. - Certification & Compliance:
Ensure all products meet industry standards such as UL, AHRI, and Energy Star; manage certification processes, timelines, and documentation. - Field Performance & Lifecycle Management:
Monitor product performance via RMA analysis, installer feedback, and runtime data; implement updates and lead next-generation development; strategize end-of-life transitions. - Go-To-Market & Positioning:
Define target customer profiles and product positioning; support Marketing and Sales with value propositions and accurate specifications.
- Technical expertise in HVAC products: chillers, heat pumps, and water heaters.
- Deep understanding of refrigeration cycles, compressors, and electronic valve regulators (EVRs).
- Proven product management and vendor leadership experience, preferably with overseas manufacturing partners.
- Strong cross-functional communication and organizational skills.
