About the Role:

The Associate Director of Total Rewards & HR Systems is responsible for the design, delivery, and administration of compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR technology programs across EAI and its subsidiaries. This role ensures our Total Rewards programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business strategy, while also leveraging HR systems and data to provide insights that drive decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Compensation & Incentives

  • Design and manage base compensation structures, salary bands, job architecture, and market benchmarking.
  • Lead development and administration of Short-Term Incentive Plans (STIP), Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIP), and equity/phantom stock programs.
  • Partner with ELT and Finance on executive compensation and enterprise-wide incentive planning.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, equal pay, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee benefit plan design, renewals, and cost management in partnership with brokers and external providers.
  • Manage annual open enrollment, communications, and vendor negotiations to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient benefits.
  • Evaluate and implement wellbeing programs that support team member engagement and retention.

Payroll & Compliance

  • Oversee payroll execution in partnership with Finance to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll and benefits accounting.

HR Systems & Analytics

  • Own HRIS platform governance, ensuring data integrity, security, and reporting accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and workforce analytics for HR and business leaders.
  • Drive process automation and system enhancements to improve HR service delivery.
  • Lead vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management for benefits, HRIS, and payroll providers.
  • Ensure service-level agreements and compliance obligations are met.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Finance, ELT, and Operations to align rewards and systems strategies with business priorities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation to business leaders on pay, benefits, and workforce data.
  • Develop communications and training that help leaders and team members understand and maximize Total Rewards offerings.
  • Supervise and mentor team members supporting Total Rewards and HR systems.

Annual Compensation Cycle

  • Manage merit, bonus, and incentive cycle planning and execution in partnership with HR Business Partners.
  • Stay current on market trends, compliance changes, and best practices in Total Rewards and HR technology.

Change Management

  • Develop communication strategies to ensure successful adoption of new programs or systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in compensation, benefits, or HR systems leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation design, benefits administration, payroll compliance, and HR technology platforms.
  • Proven experience with market benchmarking, incentive plan design, and equity/phantom stock programs.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Skilled in vendor negotiation, contract management, and governance.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or global organization preferred.
