Trauma Surgery Physician Employment In Louisiana
Moderate sized community of 95,000 in Southern Louisiana with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. One of the fastest growing areas in the state will soon become one of the top 10 fastest growing regions in the US due to a natural gas plant being built in 2027.
TraumaSurgeon Opportunity
- Head of a hospital‑employed team of 3 with nearly 60 years of combined experience.
- Cover 10 days of trauma call per month.
- Strong primary care referral base to be busy immediately.
- Only Level III ED Trauma Center in the region with many high‑impact trauma cases.
- Opportunity to develop an elective practice if desired.
- Onsite physical therapy at LCMH.
- Strong nursing support.
- Teaching opportunities with in‑house residency program.
- Electronic medical record system:
Epic.
- Base salary plus quality measure incentives & production bonus based on RVUs.
- Potential to earn up to the 90th percentile of MGMA in year 1.
- Start bonus.
- Relocation allowance / reimbursement.
- Malpractice insurance paid.
- Dues and memberships paid or reimbursed.
- Employer match on retirement plan.
- Educational loan repayment if applicable.
- CME stipend plus 5 days annual time off.

- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care or Trauma Surgery.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a medical license in Louisiana.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or without US residency and current US work visa.
