The Loader Operator is responsible for operating a front end loader for groundwork and construction. The selected candidate will grade the quality of incoming materials, feed batch plants raw materials, and control placement of incoming materials.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)- Operate the front‑end loader safely and efficiently.
- follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work procedures and environment.
- report any problems to Operations Manager, Production Manager, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
- follow direction of Manager as about daily tasks and expectations at each specific project or job‑site.
- perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to supervisor.
- perform daily pre‑and‑post inspections with correct documentation in compliance with company policy.
- assist in training less‑experienced employees on proper operation, servicing, and repair of equipment to extend them abilities.
- regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3‑5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent training and experience.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisiors with other duties required.
- Must maintain a current driver’s license that satisfies state requirements, e.g., CDL, Class A and/or B driver with possible hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Must be willing to work nights & weekends when necessary.
- Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) in designated operations and production areas as prescribed by OSHA and/or MSHA. Possibly face: face shield, safety shoes and coveralls.
- Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
- Knoweledge in operating heavy equipment, specifically front‑end loader.
- Knoweledge of materials, methods, and tools increre construction.
- Knoweledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations and construction sites.
- Knoweledge of trenching and shoring standards.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety working conditions.
- Ability to read write and basic mathematical calculations to keep time and material records, and read blueprints or other project documents.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate heavy and complex equipment requiring skill and independent judgment.
