Commercial Truck Driver – Class A CDL / Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator

Summary The Commercial Driver – Vacuum / Pneumatic Operator has dual responsibilities as a Class A driver and a Vacuum / Pneumatic Operator. The role ensures safe and efficient operation of tractor-trailer, box truck, or semi-truck(s) for inter- and intrastate travel to various customer locations. The driver will also connect, set up, and disconnect hoses and equipment at customer sites, including manual attachment of manifolds, hose and pneumatics for material conveyance, and operation of continuous flow to silo-type equipment.

This position must adhere to FMCSA/DOT/ICC safety regulations, USA DeBusk safety protocols, and build strong customer relationships by demonstrating a friendly attitude and understanding customers’ operational needs.

Requirements/Experience
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Valid TWIC card
  • At least 1 year of experience behind an 18-wheeler tractor/trailer
  • Class A CDL with Tanker and Airbrake endorsements
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from all licensed states
  • Minimum age 21 years (DOT requirement for interstate operation)
  • Pass pre-employment background check, DOT medical certification, drug & alcohol tests, and random testing
  • Pass ADS road test
  • Proficient in operating 10‑speed and automatic transmissions
  • Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and/or hard hats
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Good communication skills
  • Provide a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills
  • Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Legal to work for any employer in the USA
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Drive tractor‑trailer or straight truck intrastate and/or interstate on local, OTR, and overnight routes according to schedules
  • Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations)
  • Report incidents, safety issues, and repairs as required
  • Meet key performance indicators for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
  • Operate a tractor with trailer to pick up and deliver merchandise, following commercial driving regulations
  • Couple, uncouple, connect, and maneuver equipment in difficult situations such as narrow passageways and urban areas
  • Conduct visual inspections and perform preventative maintenance checks; report malfunctions to supervisors and maintenance staff
  • Operate Electronic Log Device (ELD) and maintain records per regulations
  • Ensure possession of all documentation, including registration and vehicle inspection reports
  • Submit to random drug tests as prescribed by regulations
  • Inspect and secure loads, perform count checks, review customer invoices, and complete required paperwork accurately
  • Verify delivery and obtain proper signatures; handle damaged goods and customer returns
  • Maintain a clean and organized tractor and trailer; unload materials, remove trash, and load or unload containers using hoses and pumps
  • Follow safety procedures for hazardous substances and specialized waste disposal
  • Perform other duties assigned by the company
Physical Demands
  • May need to lift, push, or move equipment weighing 40–60 pounds, up to 100 pounds
  • Require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and pulling at various heights
