Food Lion, a leading retailer established in 1957, seeks a dedicated associate to enhance customer experience within the Center Store (Grocery) Department.

Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining merchandising standards, maximizing sales, and minimizing shrink through effective use of company policies and tools.

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain specialty merchandise product levels, backroom inventory, and shelf conditions in accordance with standard practice.
• Adhere to plan‑o‑grams for shelf allocation, new item placement, and backstock management.
• Utilize company inventory systems such as ACIS and CAO for accurate order, receiving, preparation, and merchandising display.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines, promptly reporting and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform, maintain a neat appearance, and comply with dress code standards.
• Complete all required training programs, including Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned within the store’s operational scope.

• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks, technical requirements, and problem‑solving using company tools.
• Must meet minimum age and physical requirements for the position.

• Use computers and communication systems necessary for job functions.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions, and handle products weighing up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances; pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
• Ability to push or pull 2,000 lbs. using a pallet jack.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and calculators, handling currency and paperwork.
• Work in temperature extremes for up to 20 minutes at a time and handle cleaning or packaging substances.
• Maintain sufficient visual acuity for checking  and documentation.
