Licensed Practical Nurse Medical Palliative Care

Licensed Practical Nurse needed for medical, palliative, and telemetry care at Prince County Hospital in Summerside. This is a full-time permanent position with rotating shifts.

Health PEI seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care under Registered Nurse supervision. The position includes treatment procedures, nursing care planning, infection control, and collaboration with nursing and allied health teams. You will support patient comfort and well-being while contributing to efficient department operations.

• Provide basic nursing care for patient comfort and well-being
• Perform various treatment procedures under Registered Nurse supervision
• Participate in nursing care plan development and implementation
• Apply infection control techniques during patient care
• Communicate effectively with nursing and allied health teams

• Active or eligible Prince Edward Island nursing registration
• Successful Pharmacology, Medication Administration, and Health Assessment completion
• Current CPR, TLR, WHMIS, and All Hazards Codes certifications
• Knowledge of chronic illnesses and client care needs
• Capacity for sustained physical activity
