Join KION North America’s Electrical Engineering team as an integral member of an engineering design team focused on design, development, and integration of electrical systems—including wiring harnesses, components, and third‑party solutions—to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze and apply electrical design principles, standards, and analytics to design and integrate new and existing technology into lift trucks in line with project objectives.
• Maintain and improve lift truck electrical, software, and control systems.
• Address and achieve defined electrical design targets while considering budgets, resources, specifications, and customer expectations.
• Apply risk analysis and advanced troubleshooting techniques to prevent and resolve issues with lift truck systems.
• Plan, design, and facilitate electrical development and integration projects; organize resources and evaluate progress.
• Design and create drawings for electrical wiring harnesses, power cables, and components, including schematics.
• Review work of other electrical engineers and technicians and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Assess opportunities and risks for development of solutions within time, budget, and regulatory requirements.
• Help develop and refine company electrical design standards.
• Coordinate work with Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Support, Purchasing, and suppliers on design problems, quality issues, and cost reductions.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues in prototypes and production lift trucks.

• 3+ years of electrical design experience (mobile equipment focus preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, concepts, and practices.
• Experience designing and validating electrical wiring harnesses, components, and systems.
• Experience with regulatory standards.
• Experience with CAD (2D & 3D), preferably E3 and Unigraphics.
• Knowledge or experience with vehicle CAN communication protocols and embedded software.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards and application.
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Strong collaboration skills with diverse, multinational colleagues.
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
